FIRST DAY COVERS

A Lyndon B Johnson Space Centre Houston first day cover commemorating the Skylab missions 14-May-1973. This set of covers featured the mission logos.
A Lyndon B Johnson Space Centre first day cover for first Skylab crewed mission. The first Skylab crewed mission was from 25-May-1973 until 22-June.
These two first day covers both features the mission logo for the Skylab 2 mission. One is double cancelled for the launch and splashdown and the other for the EVA on 4-August-1973. The second Skylab crewed mission was from 28-July-1973 until 25-September.
And here is another pair of covers featuring the mission logo for the third and final manned mission to Skylab. One is double cancelled for the launch and splashdown and the other features an interesting stuffer. The final Skylab mission lasted from 11-November-1973 until 8-February-1974.
This final pair of covers feature all three crewed mission logos. One is cancelled on the first anniversary of the launch 14-May-1974 and features the Skylab stamp released on that day. The other is cancelled for the deorbiting of Skylab 11-July-1979.
Here we have both the Colorano Silks and Philagraf sets of first day covers. Both sets share the same artwork on the cachets. This example commemorates the launch the Skylab 14-May-1973.

This Kennedy Space Center Manned Flight Awareness cover was cancelled 28-July-1973 for the launch of the second Skylab crew.
Here we see a very clean looking attractive cover cancelled at the Kennedy Space Center, for the launch of Skylab 14-May-1973.
Philgraf issued this very attractive cover, for the launch of the first Skylab crew on the 25-May-1973.
