SPACE PINS

There are a number of rare collectible pins that warrant a special note, these include:

The pin on the left was presented by Soviet Cosmonauts.

The pin on the right is made from a silver and steel alloy.
Until the 1990s special functions were held in the USSR/Russia in honour of Tziolkovsky. Many of the Tziolkovsky pins shown on the commemoratives page were available at these functions.
From the international section we have the pin on the left which was made in 1975 in one of the Soviet Baltic states for the Apollo Soyuz mission.

And to the right is a pin from the Soviet hologram pins below that features images commemorating both Luna 9 to Luna 17 depending on your view.
Many pins are issued long after the event or from commemorative sets, but occasionally you find some pins that were issued at the time of the event. These are some rare examples of such pins.
Although the American's have less pins, they have still issued some excellent examples. Seen here are some of their rare official collectible examples from NASA and JPL.
Below are links to pages featuring more space pins organised into categories and below that still are some complete pin sets.
